Exposing Sneaky Tricks of Internet Marketing Product Sellers
“Pigs Get Fat – Hogs Get Slaughtered”
“Buyer Beware” has been a saying for many years to protect the public. And it’s true. If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is NOT true. It’s that simple. If it sounds too good, then do your homework and do not make any impulse decisions.
Let me begin by saying, I’ve made many mistakes in business as told in the “The Ugly Truth”, I’m not perfect and never will be. Fortunately, I’ve learned from my mistakes and my mission is to create an honest reputable business.
Many Internet Marketing coaches are pushing the envelope and trying to get the most money for less quality. Most Internet Marketers are selling the “online” dream while offering Internet Marketing e-books and courses. Many are causing much confusion and frustration.
They use expert persuasive sales “copy” in order to convince you to quickly make an impulse decision. Don’t allow these marketers to tap your greed or sell you something you “really” don’t need. Right now, you need your money to grow your business.
In other words, most Internet Marketing product “sellers” are using hard-hitting copy, shouting “fake” scarcity and asking an outrageous price. Yes, this tactic works and some marketers are making a fortune from the blood, sweat and tears of desperate people starving for the online business dream.
IM product sellers always expect a high refund ratio. Why? It’s usually due to buyer’s remorse and the product is simply not worth the high price and buyers are disappointed. Other buyers usually never even review the product or simply are too meek to request a refund.
I’m glad there are new FTC regulations in place. It will help keep many Internet Marketers from deceiving the public with their FAKE testimonials and other sneaky tactics that are currently being used.
If you’re selling Internet Marketing products and FEAR trying to sell a product without using FAKE testimonials, then maybe you should re-think the quality of your product. You think?
If you’re an affiliate and fear admitting to your prospects you’re an affiliate of a hot selling quality product, then you may want to re-think the reason you’re selling that particular product. If you’re selling an irresistible quality product that improves lives – most of your prospects will want your product no matter what.
Think about this: Do you think SEARS, Neiman Marcus, Woolworths, Crackle Barrel, Walgreens, Wal-Mart, Macys, just to name a few multi-million dollar stores actually manufacture the product they sell? Of course not. They are simply representing or “affiliate” for a line of products of manufactures. The stores are earning a commission or profit for each product that is sold in their stores.
Do you think the public cares if “stores” earn a profit from selling products they don’t manufacture? I think not. Hundreds of multi-million dollar corporations sell other company’s products and have been successful for many years.
So, why are these online fat-cat AFFILIATES so afraid?
Well, only they know. Remember. “Pigs Get Fat – But Hogs Always Get Slaughtered”
In my opinion, it’s morally, ethically and legally fine to get rich and FAT while helping your customers a get quality worthwhile “life-improving” products at a fair price. However, if you have to convince your prospects to buy something that is low in quality – using fake testimonials while asking an outrageous price, while giving them a FAKE scarcity gimmick – then you’ll eventually become a HOG. Either, you’ll get fined by the FTC or your customers will leave you. You’ll eventually go broke and get slaughtered!
Many Internet Marketing “gurus” who sell internet marketing products are getting slaughtered. They are slowly losing the respect of their customers. Most Internet Marketers depend on repeat customers and many of these customers are not re-ordering from that particular IM “guru”.
The new up-sell techniques are big business for IM product sellers. Why? Because they pull the customer inside their sales-web by persuading the prospect to buy a product at an almost irresistible low price – then up-sell them on more enticing products once they purchased the low price product.
They use a method called OTO – the ole “one-time-offer” gimmick. It’s another sneaky method of getting more money for virtually the same product. They simply break up one product into two or more products. The IM product sellers who do this are obviously not exposing their OTO up-sell products or prices on their sale page. They keep this part a secret. Why? You know the answer.
If the IM guru provides an outrageous “claim” that is hard to believe – do not buy the product. If you’re on the fence – then check out the IM forums and do your homework. Even those IM gurus offer incredible guarantees – be careful. Sometimes it can be difficult to get a refund. If you want a refund – just stay persistent.
Guess what? Many IM gurus are using aliases in order to fool some of their customer list. Here’s their trick: They simply place “buyers” or “prospects” that they suspect have lost their “trust” on another list using an alias. This method allows the “hog” to create another email campaign, regain the trust of these people so they can “gouge” them again in the future. Again, “buyer-beware”.
Bottom line is this: Be honest and always give your customers more than they expect. Build a business of happy satisfied “loyal” customers. Your customers will buy again and again – tell their friends and you create a great reputation and long standing online business. Don’t forget, these very same customers feed you, pay your bills and your customers also provide many of the necessities for your loved ones.
Give your customers the respect and the appreciation they deserve.

Gurus who sell Internet Marketing products that are old, worn out and out-dated are ruthless.
10 Top Complaints About Internet Marketing Gurus
Wouldn’t it be great if every time an IM guru came out with a product that it actually helped you instead of pushing you away from your goals?
Well, unfortunately not all IM products will bring you closer to your true potential.
Here are the 10 top complaints concerning IM Gurus and the products they sell:
1. Gurus who sell Internet Marketing products that are old, worn out and out-dated are ruthless. This is an old trick that some Internet Marketing gurus use. They purchase old out-dated PLR products and sell them as a new method. These out-dated methods make it difficult for the “newbie” to succeed. It’s very frustrating.
2. Too much “HYPE”. This is usually a big turn-off to some people. Reading a website with nothing but BIG almost “unbelievable” HYPE will usually make a person click the exit button. If the guru proclaims a large income potential from his screen shots – then why does he want you to have it too? People are not stupid – many people are very leery of big exaggerated numbers now days.
3. Fake Testimonials. People usually know the testimonials are fake even thought they are wishing they are true. However, those with half-a-brain realize it’s all a big con-job. Most people are fed up with it.
4. Fake Scarcity. I guess some people are fooled by the ole fake scarcity method in order to make people order now instead of later. It’s still a big turn-off when you realize it’s fake. There is no such thing of a “guru” running out of digital products. It’s literally impossible and most people are onto this scarcity scam. Don’t believe for a second he only wants to sell 500 units, when he’s in business to earn as much profit as possible. It doesn’t make sense.
5. Exaggerated Claims. Some screen shots are real, but many are not. The screen shots showing daily incomes, no matter how much the “guru” tries to prove it’s real, many viewers are not buying it. Even if the “income” is real, the guru will always have a sleazy loophole that gets him off the hook if his methods do not work for you.
6. Bragging about his personal wealth. Most “gurus” think it’s cool to show off their big houses, their luxury cars and their expensive toys. The gurus are obviously trying to show that if you buy his product you can have it all too. Many people are turned-off by this approach of trying to tap the greed of the average person. It’s just not necessary.
7. Up-selling is big business for the gurus. Now, the trick is to lure you into their sales funnel by offering a product for a low irresistible amount. Then after you buy it – they offer you another “can’t-succeed-without” product that was NOT part of the first offer. It’s usually cost more money. Sometimes, they even have a 3rd offer for a product that even cost more money. Many people are getting irritated with these never ending offers. This gimmick will soon end when people realize all the “guru” did was break up the product into 2 or 3 different products in order to pull as much money from your bank account as possible while YOU have your credit card out.
8. Fake email “acting” like they want to do you a favor or they want you to do them a favor. After you read the email and click the link, it’s obvious this guru is not really trying to do you a favor – they want to SELL you something. His goal is to only put money into his bank account and not yours. If you’re on many lists, then this concept is not new to you. It gets old.
9. Selling IM products with many pieces to the puzzle still missing. This is very common in the IM community. Guru will sell you a product, often times without completely testing it himself. Often times, the product will not work near as well as the guru said it would. Sometimes the product is put together so quickly or hastily parts of the puzzle is missing – therefore the buyer is spending money on promotions that fail.
10. Inflated prices of IM products. This topic is often argued about in many marketing forums. The very same people who desperately need and want to learn Internet marketing are left having to steal, borrow or beg for the money to purchase a $1,197 IM product. Naturally, there are high refund ratios because of buyer remorse and the disappointed in the content of the product. I believe if the content really matched the price – there would be less refunds. Others say nearly every expensive inflated priced IM product is almost out-dated by the time the “guru” launches his “can’t-succeed-without” product.
I purchase nearly every IM product that’s worth buying. I review their products and I know the “gurus” you can trust and those you should run from.
